August 13, 2011 (Washington, DC)  Organizers and supporters of Slut Walk DC hold a banner across from the White House in Washington.  Despite the name, Slut Walk is a movement to increase dialouge and raise awareness about society blaming the victims of rape and sexual assault for dressing a certain way.  Accroding to Slut Walk DC's website, the movement started in Toronto, Canada, after a Toronto policeman allegedly said "women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized".
