July 2, 2011 (Washington, DC)  Nathson "Nate" Fields, 57, rings a bell at the 18th Annual "Starvin for Justice '11" rally to abolish the death penalty.   Nathson spent 11 years on death row  in Illinois before he was found not guilty in 2009.  Thomas J. Mahoney, the trial court judge in Fields' initial trial accepted a $10,000 bribe to influence his decision in the case and was later indicted.
