July 9, 2011 (Washington, DC)  Maestro Daeng Udjo holds the Guiness World record certificate. More than 5,100 people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC to break a Guiness World Record by performing in the largest Angklung ensemble ever assembled. Mr. Udjo led the mass in playing "We Are The World" during the Indonesia Festival. The Angklung is an instrument made from joints of a piece of bamboo, and is played by being shaken.
